London Traffic Update 25/05/17

Westminster Bridge South Temporary lane closures apply until mid-June, for 24 hours a day, while we build new segregated cycle lanes on Addington Street and York Road. Drivers are reminded not to queue on Addington Street as they will be blocking lane access southbound to Westminster Bridge Road. Working hours are Monday to Saturday between 08:00 and 20:00. City of London Until November next year, vehicles are not permitted to use Bank junction between 07:00 and 19:00 on weekdays. Croydon From 22:00 tonight, Thursday 25 May, until 05:00 Friday 26 May, Purley Way will be closed southbound between Denning Avenue and Foxley Way, with no access to Waddon Way. On Friday/Saturday, Monday/Tuesday and Tuesday/Wednesday, the road will be closed northbound between the same times, with no access to Imperial Way. This is for resurfacing works. 

Upminster From 10:00 on Friday 26 May until 01:00 on Sunday 28 May, roads around the Damyns Aerodrome in Upminster will be busier than normal. This is due to an event. Victoria Park Due to an event at Victoria Park on Saturday 27 May, traffic will be busier around the park. Taxi rank arrangements are in place from 20:00 until 01:00 on Sunday 28 May at the Royal Gate west entrance. Twickenham From midday until 19:00 on Saturday 27 May and 12:30 until 19:30 on Sunday 28 May, roads in the area will be busier than usual, including A316 Chertsey Road, all roads leading to Twickenham station, and around the stadium. This is for sporting events. London Road, Whitton Road and Rugby Road will be closed before and after the events. Wembley From 14:30 until 22:00 on Saturday 27 May, and midday until 19:00 on Sunday 28 May and Monday 29 May, roads around the stadium will be busier than usual, including A406, Harrow Road and Wembley High Road. This is due to sporting events. Central London From 08:00 until 14:00 on Monday 29 May, extensive road closures will be in place in Westminster and the City of London. This is for a sporting event. Chelsea Two temporary taxi ranks are being provided for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show between Monday 22 May and Saturday 27 May 2017. There will be a rank for five taxis at the Bull Ring, by the entrance to the show, and a feeder rank for four taxis on Chelsea Embankment.
