Cyclists ask for new car dooring offence
The family of a cyclist who sadly passed away when a taxi passenger opened its door into the path of on coming traffic, have joined a cyclist lobbying group, Cycling UK, in asking the government for the creation of a new offence of causing serious injury or death by car-dooring.
The family of victim Sam Boulton attended a memorial bike ride which local MP Neil O’Brien stated that he would raise the issue with fellow ministers.
