Lose the wheels and brakes; electric cars do not do enough to cut pollution

All cars, including emission free electric vehicles, should be banned in urban areas to end the UK’s air pollution epidemic, so claims a top UK government adviser. The comments come from Prof Frank Kelly who says electric vehicles will not solve pollution problems as they produce large quantities of small pollution particles via, wait for it... brake and tyre dust.

So the taxi trade has bent over backwards to accommodate the expensive emission free vehicles thrust upon us, but it now seems we also need a vehicle with no wheels or brakes!
