New emails between TfL and Uber reveals meeting with Travis in DC
A group of proactive London taxi drivers called The Real LTDA have published further FOI emails relating to its regulators Transport for London. The emails focus on the relationship between previous director of London taxi and private hire John Mason and Uber officials, including Travis Kalanick. The emails sourced refers to a meeting between John Mason and Travis Kalanick taking place in Washington DC and several other phone calls from both the highly controversial ex-Uber CEO and other Uber officials.
Also included was an offer of free rides for the whole of the TfL office staff showing that John Mason did have an active Uber account linked to a TFL employee email account.
John Mason has since left TfL, but has taken to social media to respond to these latest emails:
