Uber suspension eases traffic in Philippines

Since Uber's suspension in the Philippine the traffic issues in Manila has eased so officials say.

Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chair Danilo Lim said "Based on what we’ve heard, it seems traffic improved slightly. Because the problem really in Metro Manila is [volume] of vehicles,”

Commenting on the reports gathered, Lim went on to say that the traffic had eased by as much as 5% in the short period via the Inquirer publication.

So just how much congestion is caused by Uber in other cities around world? One of the clear variables within London is that Private Hire numbers have increased, whilst the road networks have decreased. Surely a cause for concern what with rising levels of pollution?
