BGC founder Kimberly Bryant turns down Uber donation

Perry Richardson

According to TechCrunch, the founder of Black Girls Code, Kimberly Bryant, turned down funding worth $125,000 from Uber, citing it as a publicity stunt in the wake of its severely damaging sexual harassment claims.

It seems not everyone is willing to bow down to Ubers methods of throwing money around to gain public support.

Well done to Kimberly and her team, and we wish you all the best in the future.
