Southend taxi driver dies

It is with great sadness that we have to report that the taxi driver who was attacked in Southend has died.

The unnamed driver from Southend was in a critical condition after an alleged assault by three female passengers. The attack took place in Ness Road in Shoebury at approximately 10.15pm on the 30th of August. According to the regional news source The Echo News, the driver was believed to have received a heavy trauma to the head and also suffered a heart attack at the time of the assault. 

As a trade publication we send his family our sincere condolences at what can only be described as a tragic and horrific time.
