UK startup FiveAI gets £27m to build self driving taxi. 

The Cambridge based company is the latest to join the race to build the first autonomous car ready for the British market. 

FIveAl plan to deliver on multiple fronts; designing, producing and running a taxi fleet of self driving cars.

The startup is a partner in the self driving project StreetWise from which £12.8m of its funding has been generated via a government grant. Transport for London are one of the partners who are working hard to introduce the technology to reduce congestion and the need for parking spaces in the capital.
