It's now official; Jo Bertram has left Uber
TaxiPoint speculated Jo Bertram's resignation some weeks ago, however it has now been confirmed.
Reuters have reported to have seen an email in which the Northern European General Manager has admitted to leaving the controversial minicab company.
The email is believed to have said the firm needed a new manager in London "to tackle the issues it faces".
TaxiPoint released details of the speculation surrounding Bertram's position two weeks ago as she was struck from the firms Companies House listing .
According to Reuters, Jo Bertram said "Given some of our current challenges, I’m also convinced that now is the right time to have a change of face, and to hand over to someone who will be here for the long haul and take us into the next phase,” Bertram will formally leave in the next few weeks. Tom Elvidge, the London General Manager will take over all UK operations whilst a permanent candidate is recruited.
