11 hurt as Uber driver ploughs through pedestrians

A massive terror alert has been sparked after a private hire driver ploughed through pedestrians outside the Natural History Museum.

At 2.20pm anti-terror police raced to the junction of Exhibition Road and Cromwell Road near South Kensington Station after a Black Toyota Prius had collided with terrified  pedestrians and 2 cars injuring 11 people.

The private hire driver in his 40s was detained at the scene and later arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after recieving hospital treatment. Police have ruled out terrorism. Of the 11 injured 9 have been hospitalised,  none with life-threatening nor life-changing injuries.

It later emerged that according to The Daily Mail the driver of the Prius, which was allegedly procured by 3 female passengers was in fact an Uber driver. It was also alleged that he was screaming nonsense when initially tackled by passers-by. One of those who tackled the Uber driver was Pixie Lott's fiance Oliver Cheshire. Mr Cheshire 29 was the driver of one of the vehicles hit by the Prius.

The incident comes on the back of several terror attacks,  the country's threat level remains on severe.
