Former sex and drugs shamed Met detective now working for Uber in Glasgow

Grant McPherson, 37, from Scotland, was a detective constable with London's Metropolitan Police until August last year when his sex and drugs shame came to light. Married man, McPherson, began a 10 month affair with a suspect in a criminal damage case. The case was said to of taken place at 20 year old Jessica Lorenzin's, an Albanian students home in Earls Court London. McPherson's sordid affair consisted of threesomes with another man at a spa, sex with Lorenzin at Notting Hill police station,Ladbroke Grove, sex sessions at hotels and the supply of drugs. McPherson insisted all the drugs he supplied were all legal highs including viagra.

McPherson was jailed in April and immediately dismissed from his job with the Metropolitan police, after pleading guilty to offences of Misconduct in a public Office and breaching bail. According to The Daily Record McPherson is now driving for Uber in Glasgow. Scotland's chief of police constable Phil Gormley asked the council's licensing committee to suspend McPherson's licence, brandishing him not "fit and proper". The council ruled against the request and has allowed McPherson to continue his work on the ride-hailing app. A spokesman for the council said : "The licence holder in this case was warned against his future conduct "
