A 40% price cut hasn't helped Uber in Africa’s biggest economy

American newspaper the LA Times today published a story relating to Uber in Africa.
The insightful article tells the story of an Uber driver working in Lagos, Nigeria and how recent price cuts has affected his ability to earn.
According to the report, on paper the driver earns $280 a week, but after expenses it is closer to $10 a day.
