Detectives are appealing for information following the serious assault of a woman outside a restaurant in Ilford.
Just after 03:00hrs on Sunday, 23 July, the 30-year-old woman called for a taxi after leaving the Champs Sports Bar and Grill on Chapel Road.
As she waited outside with her boyfriend, a taxi arrived and an argument began with a group of women who were also outside looking for a taxi.
A fight broke out and both the victim and her boyfriend were assaulted.
The suspect shown in the footage released by officers is believed to have pushed the victim to the floor and kicked her, breaking her leg, and bruising her thigh, a finger and an arm.
The woman was treated for her injuries at an east London hospital.
The suspect is described as a woman aged in her 30s, with long dark hair. She was wearing a dark coloured top, light trousers and dark shoes. She also wore dark rimmed glasses.
Detective Constable Jonathan Lam, from the East Area Command, said: ”As the victim patiently waited for her taxi, she was attacked by a boisterous crowd intent on taking the taxi as soon as it pulled up outside the sports bar. I would appeal to anyone who recognises this woman to contact us.”
Any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or contact via Twitter @MetCC. Alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously by calling 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org
