Uber launch appeal against York decision
Uber have launched an appeal against York city council's decision not to renew their operators license.
York City Council recently refused to renew Uber's license on a number of grounds, which included concerns over data breaches and multiple complaints.
An Uber spokesperson has said: "While we have today filed our appeal, we are also seeking to meet with York City Council in order to address their concerns,"
The spokesman continued. "We want to continue providing more choice and competition for both consumers and licensed drivers in the city."
Reuters have confirmed that Uber can continue operating in York, just like they are London, until the appeals process has been explored and reaches an end point.
