Card readers in cabs almost 100% compliant say TfL

TfL has released figures showing almost 100 per cent of taxis have operational debit and credit card payment devices
The mandate for all taxis in London came into effect in October 2016 and by 16 September 2017, TfL had received just 192 customer complaints about drivers refusing to accept payment by card or claiming their card terminals were out of service. In the same period, 40,000 compliance checks were carried out on taxis and a problem with the card machine was found in only 300 cases.
Long gone are the days of plastic bags over the terminals!
