LondonTaxiPR wins advertising award
A group set up to positively promote and raise the profile of the licensed London taxi trade has won an award for its work.
LondonTaxiPR, set up by two working cabbies Lee Sheppard and Gary Long, were celebrating their victory as “Best Public Transport Promotions Group” at the International Air Transport News Awards.
International Transport News covers the latest developments in the transport sector, and the awards recognises the work undertaken by companies, staff and individuals to keep the transport industry moving. Each nominees’ performance is scrutinised over the past 12 months within their region, and then voted for by respected industry partners. This latest achievement coincides with the launch of their latest campaign, which will see both an advertisement and editorial within the leading Travel and lifestyle magazine, Inspired Travel. Since their formation, London Taxi PR has undertaken a series of targeted media campaigns, which are being used by London Taxi PR to promote the benefits, advantages and safety of using the iconic London Taxi to a wide audience. London Taxi PR was established in March 2015 by two licenced London Taxi drivers of many years standing - Lee Sheppard and fellow cabbie Gary Long, London Taxi PR is seeking to raise awareness to the public, tourists and visitors to the capital by illustrating the advantages that can be provided by using the iconic London Taxi’s. These Taxis are affectionately known as London’s Pride, and this has been used to significant effect as a catchphrase in their campaign material. All the campaigns and publicity that has so far been generated by the company has been funded by fellow London Taxi drivers, many of whom have signed up to donate to the cause on a monthly basis, indicating how passionate they all are about their industry and the cause.
Congratulations and well done from all of us at TaxiPoint!
