SoftBank backs Uber's drive for an IPO by 2019
The CEO of SoftBank Investment Advisers, Rajeev Misra, has backed Uber's ambitions for an initial public offering by 2019. At a Mobile World Congress in Barcelona he showed his support to the work Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi was doing and the progress he was making with regulators around the world. SoftBank, who completed a recent deal to become the biggest stakeholder in the ride-hailing giants are huge players in the ride-sharing market, with investments in a number of the leading players including Didi Chuxing and Southeast Asia giants Grab.
