TfL conduct Heathrow fixed and capped fares survey
London’s taxi regulator is currently conducting a short survey amongst taxi drivers asking for opinion on fixed and capped fares from Heathrow.
The current taxi fare from Heathrow Airport to central London can vary significantly and can typically be between £45-£85. It has been suggested that passengers arriving at Heathrow Airport and wanting to take a taxi would benefit from knowing what the fare would be in advance. Many other major cities in the world including New York, Rome and Tokyo already offer fixed fares from the airport.
The survey being conducted on Transport for London’s behalf looks at gathering driver opinion on both fixed and capped fare alternatives from the airport.
