London: TfL roads and events update
Waterloo Station From 20:00 on Friday 27 April until 20:00 on Sunday 29 April, Station Approach Road will be closed to all vehicles. This is for a crane operation. Taxis should use Spur Road to access the taxi rank. Goodway Road From 06:00 on Friday 27 April until 05:00 on Monday 30 April, Goodway Road will be closed to all vehicles. This is for a crane operation. Taxis should use Euston Road to access the taxi rank. London Bridge Until August 2018, London Bridge will remain closed to northbound traffic on weekdays only, while Cadent Gas continue to carry out gas work, as part of their mains replacement programme, on nearby Gracechurch Street. The restriction does not apply to local buses, taxis, cycles, pedestrians and emergency vehicles. While this closure is in place, motorists are advised to use Blackfriars or Tower Bridge to cross the river. South London Until 23:59 on Tuesday 15 May, South Lambeth Road (southbound) at the junction of Vauxhall Grove will be reduced to two lanes (from five) due to urgent sewer repair works. Central London From 21:00 on Friday 27 until 05:00 on Monday 30 April, lane three will be closed southbound on Grosvenor Place and lanes three and four will be closed westbound on Duke of Wellington Place due to gas works. Central London From 23:59 on Friday 27 until 05:00 on Monday 30 April, Millbank between Parliament Square and Great Peter Street will be closed in both directions for Parliamentary Estate works. Parliament Street northbound will be reduced to one lane. St Margaret Street/Abingdon Street will be closed in both directions between Parliament Square and Great Peter Street. Signed diversions for cyclists will be in place via Broad Sanctuary, Great Smith Street, Marsham Street and Horseferry Road. Central London From 06:00 on Monday 30 until 19:00 on Tuesday 31 April Oxford Street between Tottenham Court Road (St Giles Circus) and Rathbone Place will be reduced to a single lane in both directions due to a new development.
Woolwich From 13:00 until 16:00 on Sunday 29 April, there will be traffic holds on the following roads: Calderwood Street, Wilmount Street via John Wilson Street (lane 1 only), Wellington Street, Thomas Street, Woolwich New Road, Anglesea Road, Conduit Road, Raglan Road, Waverley Road, Brewery Road, Lakedale Road, Plumstead High Street, Plumstead Road, Woolwich New Road, Anglesea Road, and Masons Hill. This is due to procession. Premier League Football From 17:00 until 23:59 on Monday 30 April, roads around Wembley stadium will be busier than usual, including A406, Harrow Road and Wembley High Road. This is for an event. Central London From 12:00 until 17:00 on Tuesday 1 May, there will be extensive road closures on the following roads: Clerkenwell Green, Trafalgar Square, Clerkenwell Road, Theobalds Road, Drake Street, Procter Street, High Holborn, Kingsway, Aldwych, and Strand. Traffic is likely to be affected from Euston Road in the north, to Tottenham Court Road in the west, Victoria Embankment in the south and Goswell Road in the east. This is for the May Day March.
