Uber looks to London for UberAIR launch

Perry Richardson

As Uber look to develop their flying taxi programme, otherwise known as UberAIR, with both Dallas and Los Angeles chosen as the first two preferred launch cities, it has emerged that London could be Uber’s next target. Pressure is being put on Sadiq Khan to nominate London as the third city to take part in the programme. Boris Johnson's former director of transport policy, Kulveer Ranger has stated that City Hall should be looking into the feasibility of projects such as UberAIR. Conservative London Assembly member, Keith Prince has requested that City Hall should urge the Government to look into ways of devolving airspace regulation to regional authorities so as to facilitate transport evolution. City Hall have not made any statement surrounding UberAIR.
