Uber apply for eighteen month licence in London
Just weeks before Uber begin their appeal against Transport for London's decision to not issue a new operators licence to the controversial ride hailing app, it's been confirmed on LBC that an eighteen month licence has been applied for in a bid to prove they are now a fit and proper company deserving of a licence.
According to a report on LBC , there are some senior executives at TfL, and City Hall, who think it would be better if Uber win the appeal at Westminster Magistrates' Court.
However, the regulator’s commissioner Mike Brown remains publicaly committed to keeping the ban recently blaming the ride-hailing firm for rising congestion on the capital’s road network.
