50MPH DOWN LONDON WALL: Police seize car and report driver

A car was seized and the driver was reported after police clocked the vehicle travelling 50mph down London Wall.
The road is one of the London’s Square Mile main thoroughfares and has a reduced speed limit of 20mph.
City of London Police shared details and an image of the silver Mercedes-Benz stopped by officers.
According to police sources the driver first gave false details.
A City of London Police spokesperson said: “Travelling 50mph in a 20mph will make City Police Roads Unit stop you and check your details.
“This driver gave false details but we quickly saw through this and reported the driver and seized the car.”
