London taxi drivers add basic life support to their knowledge
Updated: Apr 17, 2023
London cabbies have added basic life support to their knowledge with more courses arriving soon.
The free basic life support course at Taxi House at the end of March was a great success, with 20 taxi drivers attending two separate sessions.
Feedback from the course noted that instructor and fellow cabbie, Paul Tippett, was “superb” and “an excellent teacher”. Participants reported feeling much more confident, able to deal with emergency situations and help people in need, saying they "learned a lot". One driver even suggested that “every cab driver should be trained. It can save lives”.
The Licensed Taxi Drivers’ Association (LTDA) thanked the drivers who took part and will be organising further courses later this year.
LTDA members interested in participating and gaining the same skills and confidence, or even just refreshing their knowledge, should email info@ltda.co.uk.
