Police were shocked to discover a learner driver in Telford being supervised by their 15-year-old daughter.

Shropshire Police Officers stopped the Vauxhall Meriva carrying L plates in the rear window on Sunday 29 May.

The man driving was asked who the passenger was supervising their learning.

The driver told police officers the passenger was in fact his 15-year-old daughter.

Police seized the vehicle and reported the driver for being in breach of licence conditions and without third party insurance.

Learner drivers can only be supervised by someone aged at least 21 and they must have held a full driver’s licence for at least three years.

Shropshire Operational Patrol Unit said via social media: “We asked this learner driver who was supervising them...

“My 15 year old daughter...”
