Taxi and minicab drivers in London offered COVID-19 vaccine jab sessions at two pop-up locations

Updated: Jul 4, 2021

Taxi and Private Hire Vehicle (PHV) drivers are being offered first and second COVID-19 vaccinations during two pop-up sessions based in central London.

A local GP service is offering the programme of pop-up vaccination clinics, and taxi and PHV licensees are eligible to book up and attend.

The clinics are currently offering:

  • First dose vaccines

  • Second dose vaccines (providing five weeks or more has passed since your first jab)

  • AstraZeneca vaccine only (for aged 40+).

The vaccines will be offered to cabbies based on NHS guidance and what they had for their first dose. The clinics are not currently able to offer the Pfizer vaccine.

Drivers wishing to book a vaccination at the first two clinics, are urged to email vaccinationbooking@tfl.gov.uk providing their full name, email address and telephone number.

Transport for London (TfL) licensees will also be asked to provide a preferred 15-minute window at the following sessions:

  • Friday 2 July, 16:00 to 20:00 at Palestra, Southwark

  • Wednesday 7 July, 16:00 to 20:00 at 200 Baker Street.
