According to police sources the 18-year-old victim was attacked outside King Street Working Mens’ Club at 10pm on Friday 23 October.

Officers believe the victim was punched in the face and knocked unconscious while getting into a taxi.

The teenager sustained serious head injuries, including a fractured skull and a bleed on the brain, in the attack.

He was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged to undergo care at home.

“However, I would like to appeal to anyone who saw what happened to get in touch and assist police in our ongoing inquiries.”
