16 May 2017

Russ Hall, co-founder of Hailo, has joined Gett as the Head of Driver Operations.

Russ brings vast experience, both as a taxi driver for many years and taxi app entrepreneur, to the role. The position will see him become Gett’s main point of contact for drivers and help Gett achieve its aim of putting drivers first.

A London cab driver for 33 years, Russ has a wealth of experience in the industry, along with his family lineage of taxi drivers.

Matteo De Renzi, Gett’s UK Managing Director, said: “We’re delighted to appoint Russ to the role of Head of Driver Operations. Gett is growing incredibly quickly so we want to ensure that drivers remain at the heart of our business. This makes this role more important than ever. Russ' blend of experience, passion and entrepreneurism is the perfect match for Gett’s team.”

Russ Hall said: “Gett has proven to be one of the most inspiring and forward thinking brands in the industry, and I am extremely excited to be part of the team. As Head of Driver Operations I will be the face of Gett for their fleet of drivers - having been a driver myself for so many years, I am confident that Gett can continue to fight back against the competition and see more and more people riding in black cabs every day.”
