Asia's Grab looks to raise $2b in bid to kill off Uber

24 Jul 2017

The Singapore based ride hailing app, Grab,  is expected to raise around $2 billion from its Chinese partners Didi Chuxing and Japan's SoftBank Group Corp.

The news will come as a blow to rivals Uber and Go-Jek who have been chasing the coat tails of Grab lately.

Having recently pulled out of both Russian and Chinese markets, Uber now find themselves in a similar position in the South East Asia.
