Flying water taxis hits problems in France

24 Aug 2017

The SeaBubble, a proposed French waterways taxi, had stalled in its bid to bring fast, clean boat services to major cities around the world due to "administrative bureaucracy" according to Reuters

Alain Thebault, a French yachtsman, wants to take the design of the boat used to break the fastest speed sailing record back in 2009 and turn into a taxi service for all of the public to use.

Whilst the SeaBubble has generated private investment, somewhere between €50m-€100m, it has to disrupt current laws in place to see through its business model. Trying to increase the speed limit on busy waterways proves to be the biggest challenge.
