Comparisons between human drivers and autonomous vehicles are unfair

The debate on whether autonomous vehicles are safer than human drivers is inconclusive to say-the-least.


Peter Hancock, a Professor of Psychology, Civil and Environmental Engineering, and Industrial Engineering and Management Systems at the university of central Florida, has put together an essay, printed in Scientific America , outlining the unfair conditions and testing process that's being used to make the claim that autonomous vehicles are far safer than human driven vehicles.
