Police are hunting five people after a cabbie was carjacked, threatened with a knife and beaten with a pole.
The 60-year-old private hire driver has lost one of his teeth in the attack and been left badly shaken.
The stolen vehicle then smashed into a number of parked vehicles, causing significant damage.

The car was found abandoned on St Mary’s Road a short time later after being involved in a collision with a parked car and van.
