Private hire driver dies after attack at Manchester airport

A private hire driver who worked for A-Line Taxis, has died following an assault at Manchester airport. 

 

The victim, a Mr William Brent Taylor was said to be waiting to collect passengers when an altercation started. According to a report in the Manchester Evening News , Mr Taylor suffered a heart attack. 

Police were called to an incident near terminal 2 at around 8:25am on Friday morning after reports came through that a man was being attacked. Mr Taylor , 57, was taken by ambulance to hospital where he later died.

Greater Manchester Police have now launched an investigation and are appealing for any witnesses - or anyone with any information - to come forward.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and remain in custody.
