A police patrol pulled over Christopher Stirling in Ripley Derbyshire at around 3am on Saturday, August 4.

He was arrested and later charged with all offences. The 24-year-old suspect is due to appear before magistrates in Chesterfield at the end of the month, according to a report in the DerbyshireTimes.

No other details surrounding Stirling's attempts to operate as a private hire driver illegally have been released. It's not clear if he was working for any particular operator or whether he was attempting to ply for hire on the streets of Derbyshire.
