Nissan’s e-NV200 all-electric van, has shown its flexibility by morphing into a zero-emission concept ice cream van for ‘Clean Air Day’.
Nissan partnered with Mackie’s of Scotland, an ice cream producer powering its family-owned dairy farm by renewable wind and solar energy.
The ice cream van project demonstrates how a ‘Sky to Scoop’ approach can remove carbon dependence at every stage of the ice cream journey.
The e-NV200 is also set to launch as a black taxi in London in the coming months.
The Nissan Dynamo All Electric Taxi, built in Coventry by Dynamo Motor Company, can carry 5 passengers.
Dynamo says it will cost less than £30 per week on electricity and will become the most cost effective taxi in the UK.
Just like the new taxi, the prototype ice cream van is based on the e-NV200, Nissan’s 100% electric light commercial vehicle.
