29 Sep 2019

A joint taxi and private enforcement operation in Nottingham oversaw five prohibition notices issued.

Nottingham City Council’s licensing team worked with neighbouring authorities on Friday, which included Wolverhampton, Gedling and Rushcliffe respectively.

The operation was also supported by Nottinghamshire Police and DVSA officials.

23 vehicles were checked, which produced 5 prohibition notices. Of those 5 notices issued, 3 were immediate prohibitions and the remaining 2 were delayed.

One driver was also found to have an expired badge.

A Nottingham City Council Licensing spokesperson confirmed the details via Twitter, writing: “This morning @NCCLicensing ran an Enforcement operation in Nottingham with @nottspolice @DVSAgovuk @Rushcliffe @GedlingBC @WolvesCouncil @cpo_taxi 23 vehicles checked 3 immediate & 2 delayed prohibition notices issued. 1 driver had expired badge @SafeNottm”
