Popular airport shuttle Gatwick Flyer has ceased trading after three decades of service

The popular airport shuttle service - Gatwick Flyer - has ceased trading.

Gatwick Flyer has been in operation for over three decades, transporting passengers via its minibus service from their homes in London, Kent and South Essex, to Gatwick, Heathrow, Stansted and Southend Airport. 

According to a report on BCS Echo, an administration company acting on behalf of the Gatwick Flye informed some of its customers by email today, some the day before they were due to travel.

The correspondence stated: "Acting on behalf of Gatwick Flyer Ltd we are advised to inform you as of October 2 2019 at 5pm the company has ceased trading.

"Your booking with the Gatwick Flyer is no longer valid and you will need to make alternative arrangements.

"For refunds and queries please contact the administrator - the contact information can be found below." 


Only a month ago, happy customers were voicing their delight with the service they received, with one saying:


"I would like to Big up the Gatwick flyer team they are always welcoming, polite and professional. I have used this service loads of times and I have never had any issues. If by chance my plane is delayed I am always guaranteed to get on the next available bus to get me home. Long may the Gatwick Flyer continue and a big Thank you once again. See u all soon. 😀😀😀"
