Minimum wage push for gig economy workers

A new government report looking into the changes in how we work with technology is to demand a radical rethink in employment law and also add new guarantees on the minimum wage in the UK. 

The big change is the call for a new category of worker called a "dependent contractor".

This new category - likely to cover drivers for firms like Deliveroo and Uber - should get benefits such as sick pay and holiday leave.
