Twitter erupts after allegations of Uber driver found carrying a machine gun and ammunition.

London's biggest taxi driver organisation, The LTDA, made the astonishing claims that an Uber driver was found with a machine gun and ammunition in the boot of a car. 

The LTDA went on to say the that the male driver appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates Court on 13th July in front of a watching LTDA representative.

However, a Westminster Councillor poured water on the tweets claiming the taxi organisation were "peddling lies and falsehood".

Conservative councillor Richard Holloway, has caused controversy before by writing to the then London Mayor Boris Johnson and "insistIng" he downgrad hackney cab regulations, but leave Uber alone according to Jim Thomas of Taxi Leaks .
