Cycle hire company oBike disrupts the rental bike market in London

A Singapore-based bike company called oBike is alleged to have taken Uber’s “disruptive” business model by entering London without adhering to local regulations.

The capitals cycling chief Will Norman said “oBike showed up in London without consulting anybody”.

Taxi drivers will ask what's the difference between oBike and Uber quoting Boris Johnson's free market philosophy. The new bike company are seen to a cheaper alternative to the 'Boris bike's' supplied by Transport for London.

Hundreds of yellow pay-as-you-go oBikes appeared on pavements across the capital this week but some have already been mysteriously vandalised.
