London Traffic Update 24/8/17

Blackfriars From 22:00 tonight, Thursday 24, until 05:00 tomorrow, Friday 25 August, the following roads will be closed: Blackfriars Underpass, Upper Thames Street and Lower Thames Street (between Victoria Embankment and Byward Street). This is for drainage works. London Bridge From 01:00 on Saturday 26 until 05:00 on Tuesday 29 August, Tooley Street will be closed in both directions between Borough High Street and Bermondsey Street. A406 Staples Corner Flyover From Monday 28 August until late September, various lane and road closures will be in place on the flyover. This is for essential maintenance works. For full details, please visit tfl.gov.uk/northwest-london-major-roadworks Kidbrooke Park Road Due to unexpected structural issues, the closure at Kidbrooke Park Road will now be extended until Thursday 28 September. The road will be closed to all traffic between Weigall Road and Old Post Office Lane. A signed diversion route is in place via the A2, South Circular Road and Eltham Road. Roads in and around the area will be busier than usual, especially during peak times. Charing Cross Station From 23:00 on Friday 25 August until 07:00 on Saturday 2 September, the Station forecourt rank will be closed. The feeder rank on Strand will be unaffected. 

Notting Hill Carnival This event means that on Sunday 27 and Monday 28 August 2017 roads will be closed in the Notting Hill, Ladbroke Grove and Westbourne Park areas, with a large number of pedestrians expected.  Wembley From midday until 19:00 on Saturday 26, and 13:00 until 20:00 on Sunday 27 August, roads in the area will be busier than usual, including A406, Harrow Road, Wembley High Road and roads around the stadium. This is due to sporting events.
