Addison Lee all set for New York launch

Perry Richardson

Addison Lee has acquired black car service, Tandem, a New York based platform, as it looks to expand it's brand beyond London city. Addison Lee already operate in New York after acquiring Flyte Tyme chauffeur service which it bought in 2016, but this will be the first time they will use the Addison Lee brand. The launch of the brand which is set to become live by the end of October will allow, for the first time, it's London based clients to book a car while still in the U.K to pick them up when they arrive in the Big Apple. According to CityA.M the firm seeks to distinguish itself from the likes of Uber and Lyft by eyeing the business to business side of what's believed to be a $2bn a year industry in the City. Let's not forget Addison Lee are not having it all their own way with only a 6 month license being issued to them in London while TFL consider new operating license fees.
