Bogus minicab driver jailed for rape

A bogus private hire driver who wrecked a chemistry student’s life when he raped her in the back of his car has recieved a 14 year jail sentence. 

48-year-old Amos Mbonu attacked the 20-year-old after she was refused entry into a university bar in the Barbican area for being too drunk. Mbonu picked up the young student, plied her with cocaine and took her to a nightclub before raping her twice on the journey home on 2 October last year.
