Waymo ask for delay in court case against Uber

Waymo have asked for a delay to court proceedings against Uber as they obtain critical new evidence in the self driving car case.

Waymo claim that former employee Anthony Levandowski copied over 14,000 confidential files before starting a new role at Uber concentrating on self-driving trucks.

Uber have strongly denied using any information owned by Waymo. The Google owned company have asked for an extension to the 10th October court hearing so that it can investigate new evidence that cannot be completed in the current timescales.

The delay is likely to last a month.
