Vito overtakes TX4 as London taxi of choice

The Mercedes Vito taxi has outsold the LEVC TX4 becoming the vehicle of choice for drivers in London over the last six months.

According to licensing figures from Transport for London, the Mercedes Vito was sold 489 times between January and August of this year. The more traditional TX4 sold 399 times respectively.

LEVC will be looking to buck the trend with a new electric offering to the trade. However with the price rising and uncertainty still surrounding the trade as a whole, costs may play a big part in the cabbies decision-making process going forwards.
