Research shows that Uber can 'silently record' iPhone screens

A technology security researcher has discovered that the minicab firm Uber can secretly record iPhone screens even when the app isn't being used. 

Uber have quickly said it will remove the function from its iPhone ride hiding app after Will Strafach found the private app function being used in secret.

According to ZDNet this data collecting entitlement is usually off limits to app developers unless Apple give special permission to view and collect such 'entitlements'
