According to reports in Saratogian there has been no group who has spent more on lobbying state lawmakers to influence them to allow expansion into upstate than Uber.
The app-based ride-hailing service reported almost $1.8 million (£1.4 million) in lobbying expenses between January and June of 2017.
Their lobbying efforts have allowed them to expand into areas outside of Manhattan where they've seen a very healthy growth.
It seems the more money you spend, the more money you make.
