Fake Cambridge cabby convicted

A man posing as a  cab driver was convicted at High Wycombe Magistrates Court and ordered to do community service after it was discovered that he was operating with a fake badge.

Mohammed Hanif of High Wycombe was discovered to be operating illegally after South Cambridge Licensing Unit spotted Hanif using a fake badge.

Cambridge News reported ths Thames Valley Police were made aware that  a driver may have been operating illegally after being informed by the licensing authority. 

Hanif was subsequently convicted following a trial at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court of possessing an article for use in fraud. He was sentenced to 120 hours of unpaid work and pay Court costs of £385.
