Taxi rank killers jailed

Two men have been jailed after killing one man and seriously injuring a second man at a taxi rank in Hastings.

Elliot Bourdon-Pierre, 25 and Matthew Smith, 22, both from Rye were both convicted at Lewes Crown court on 21st November. 

Brian Hill, 60 and his brother Andrew, 53,  were attacked by the two thugs in the early hours of 3rd February 2017

Brian died after being punched amd hitting his head on the pavement. Andrew suffered serious rib and kidney injuries as a result of the attack.

The two attackers were apprehended after police studied CCTV footage from both the street and taxi dashcams.

The pair recieved eight years imprisonment for manslaughter and grevious bodily harm.

Det Insp Duncan Elliott said in a statement: "The combination of alcohol and looking for trouble, tragically ended in Brian losing his life and his brother Andrew suffering serious physical and mental injuries."
