London - Weekly Traffic Update

South West London Until April 2018, Chelsea Embankment will be closed to westbound traffic between Chelsea Bridge Road and Battersea Bridge. There will be a diversion via Chelsea Bridge Road, Lower Sloane Street and Sloane Street. This is due to essential utility works by Tideways, Cadent Gas and Thames Water. Central London Until 14:00 on 24 December, Moorgate will be closed to southbound traffic between the junctions of South Place and Lothbury with a diversion via Eldon Street, Blomfield Street, London Wall, Aldersgate Street, St Martin's Le Grand, Cheapside, King Street, and Gresham Street. This is for utility work. Central London From 08:00 until 17:00 on Saturday 9 and 10:00 until 19:00 on Sunday 10 December, there will be weekend road closures in place at Horseferry Road at the junction of Greycoat Place, to enable resurfacing works. Hammersmith Flyover From 00:01 until 05:00 on Wednesday 6 December, there will be an eastbound full closure and a westbound closure of lane three. From 00:01 until 05:00 on Thursday 7 December, there will be a westbound full closure and an eastbound closure of lane three. This is to facilitate essential overnight maintenance works. A101 Rotherhithe Tunnel Planned closure of the tunnel, to carry out essential investigation works and test safety systems, between 22:00 and 05:00 until Friday 1 December. 

Christmas at Kew On Kew Road, there will be a drop off and pick up only point available until 1 January 2018. Winterville, Clapham Common Until 1 January 2018 a temporary taxi rank will be available on Rookery Road (midway point). Hampstead Village Christmas Fair On Sunday 3 December, to facilitate this local authority organised event, Hampstead High Street, between Heath Road and Gayton Road, will be closed from 04:30 until 23:00. Belgravia Christmas Market On Sunday 3 December, the annual Belgravia Christmas Market will operate between 11:00 and 17:00. To facilitate the event, together with the construction and removal of infrastructure, Elizabeth Street will close to all traffic between the junctions of Ebury Street and Chester Row between 07:30 and 19:00. Evening Standard Theatre Awards On Sunday 3 December, roads around the Royal Opera House, including Catherine Street, Russell Street, Tavistock Street and Wellington Street, will close between 16:00 and 22:00. Printworks On Saturday 2 December there will be a marshalled taxi rank in operation.
