Recommended read: LA sues Uber over alleged cover-up of 2016 data breach

According to American publishers Press Enterprise, the city of Los Angeles have began sueing Uber in regards to the recent data hacking scandal that has swept the world.

The report goes on to say that civil penalties owed to Los Angeles could be as high as $2,500 per violation for each of the two possible state law sections the breach falls under.
